For over 14 years, True Music Studios has been a home for aspiring musicians across Rhode Island and beyond. We’re not a franchise or a big-box music store with lessons in the back. We’re a professional music studio where musicians come to create, and where children and adults learn from instructors who genuinely love what they do.

When you step into our facility, you’re surrounded by the same instruments, equipment, and creative energy that professional artists use to record their albums. This matters because learning music is more than scales, theory, songs, and notation. It’s about feeling inspired to play.

As our students progress, some choose to take the next step and record their music in our professional studio, just like you’ll hear in the video below.

One on One Lessons for Every Age & Skill Level

Adults: We work with complete beginners, returning musicians who played years ago looking to get back into it, and advanced players looking to sharpen their skills. No matter where you’re starting from, we’ll help you get where you want to be.

Kids & Teens: We understand what it takes to keep younger students engaged, motivated, and enjoying their progress. We meet them where they are, whether that means learning parts of songs they love from Spotify and YouTube, or diving deep into music theory for students who want to understand the “why” behind the music.

Voice Lessons: The vocal cords are muscles that need to be developed thoughtfully. Our voice lessons focus on breath control, pitch accuracy, vocal range, diction, and confidence. Whether you’re preparing for auditions, interested in musical theater, or just want to sing with ease, our instructors customize every lesson to your goals.

Instruments we Teach: Guitar (acoustic and electric), Piano, Bass, and Ukulele. We also teach Audio Production Techniques and Songwriting.
